Why Christianity is Laughable

Just read the Bible? The greatest fairy story ever told.

This book is a classic. Supposedly the word of God. If it is, this is the not the kind of god that would want to get offside with.

The body count in the Old Testament is huge. God doesn't do things by half. When Moses came down from the mount and found his followers worshipping a golden bull, God was not amused and ordered "Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbour.' " The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand of the people died." but not satisfied with that, the LORD then struck the people with a plague because of what they did with the calf Aaron had made. This is not someone you want to mess with.

Of course the easy thing to do is dismiss the Old Testament, I mean it is basically the "history" of the Jews. That God is not the same God that Jesus represents, although Jesus did say, "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill." "(Matt. 5:17)

If you dismiss the old testament as primarily a guide book for Jews, then you have to forget the ten commandments, which isn't hard to do since God forgot what he gave Moses in the first set of tablets, that Moses broke only to get another entirely different set.

If we only have to consider the non-sense in the New Testament then Christians get off a liitle more easily. The only thing they have to explain is Jesus's virgin birth, healing the sick, walking on water, turning water into wine, raising the dead, and raising himself; answer these and they are home free.

I still fail to see what Jesus did for our sake? What was his sacrifice? Jesus is really God in another form, so never actually dies, kind of like the Highlander, an immortal. Not really a sacrifice when you reappear again. But he did die for our sins, sins that his dad put upon us when Eve ate the apple. I din't ask for sins or to be saved from my apparent sinning. Why not just abolish sin, God? Too big an ask? You created it, can't you uncreate it?
